Obsessive wiping can mean you have a problem. If you find yourself constantly wiping after bowel movements, you might have some of these health conditions

Anal Abscess or Fistula: Anal gland infection that causes pain, redness, and drainage in the rectal area. Drainage could be could eb stool,blood, or even puss and without treatment this can lead to fistula

Anal Skin Tags: Growths caused from recurrent friction, irritation, or inflammation caused by chronic diarrhea, constipation, hemorrhoids,or crohn's disease

Bowel Leakage/ Fecal Incontinence: Happens when you have a hard time holding in bowel movement. You may leak stool when you pass gas or throughout the day

Hemorrhoids: Swollen veins inside or outside the rectum. Hemorrhoids can cause itching, pain, and bleeding. They can also make it hard to stay clean if stool catches on them. 1 and 20 adults have them and half the adults that get them are 50 or older.

Pruritus Ani: Anal itching which is a result of excessive cleaning, harsh soaps or fragrances, sweat, and stool. If not treated causes skin irritation, burning, and discomfort.

Gastrointestinal Bleeding: when you have blood in your stool or feces is the same color and texture as grounded coffee.
